It was a toss up between pirates and samurais but the Revolutionary War was an interesting time so in the end the swashbuckling buccaneers won out :D

had to vote 1800's at first i was like "oooh egypt!" and then "oooh renaissance ~!" but then i was like ...ya know what? i want the option of either england with the dapper gents and ladies and/or america where all yall folks were out on the porch sippin lemonade wavin to the kiddies as they road their bikes to the general store and no one was worried they'd be nabbed up or killed or raped because no one believed in bad people and bad people were far and few in between. it just seems like a pleasant time.

then again i might get bored with everything being loverly and quaint.

1960's :dummy:

Because within the next 30 years, lots of cool music will be released, everyone coming together, funky discos, epic cartoons, less infrastructure (compared to now) as well as fancy clothes and hippie vans =P
And super cool cars holy shit

I'm more intrigued by the thought of visiting the future than the past (although I think history is amazing.) Unless I also changed my location, traveling more than a few decades backwards can be problematic for anyone that isn't a white male. :P

(I am intrigued by the Victorian-era, though... Ohmygod the architecture! I swoon for Victorian manors... Buuut... I like being considered a person. Haha.)

That's kind of what really excites me, though--beyond even the "technological advances." But even philosophically, socially, etc. etc. I think it would be really interesting to get a sneak peak toward where we're "headed," so to speak. It's one of the sorts of things that really draws me to science fiction in the first place. ;P I'm a social-constructionist at heart.

Hahah yea- im always intrigued by our....eventual downfall? As morbid as that sounds- but like, post apocalyptic settings make me giddy. I cannot explain- though a far more advanced thriving future is intriguing as well- wonder where we'll be in a hundred years you know? SO MUCH MYSTERY.

I am definitely a child of the 60's. In my opinion, the best generation ever. We had more history than most all generations put together. The Hippees and flower children ended the war in Vietnam. It was the start of rock & roll (everything stemmed from there) We put a man on the moon, Weed was at its height, grooving out on it and love and peace was de rigour for the day for most of us, We ended segregation and brought fourth racial equality. The first pc was developed, making this website and all the other cool and important stuff that most of us enjoy possible. We proved that thousands and thousands of people could successfully come together and groove out on good weed generously shared with one another, rock out to the best singers and bands of all time, like 'The who, Jimmi Hendrix, Janis Joplin. and in general live in love and peace for the days of the 'Woodstock Festival'. What other generation gave us musicians like the Beatles, the Stones, Led Zeppelin, John Lennon, the Doors. None that I can think of. 'If you come to San Francisco, make sure you wear flowers in your hair'. Remember that? The 60's was John Kennedy's 'Camelot. I'm sure we had our share of bad times too, but on the whole, the good far outweighed the bad. Making it a magical generation that will never come again.

In short, you'd go back to the 60's in a heartbeat, yea?
My parents have quite the stories of those times! I got to grow up on all of that great music! <3
Definitely a history rich generation!

I'll say the 1700s, except that I most likely would not have made it past adolescence. We romanticize the past a lot, but people died, a lot, in past. In the 1700s, I'd be really lucky to make it into my 60s

It's true, it is- though, there were plenty of people going about life back then, no reason you'd keel over as a kid or something. It's just for fun anyway, you don't have to go back...I promise XD

The timeline is not accurate. Alexander the Great lived in the 4th century BC and the Crusades tool place from the 11th to 13th century AD. They could not have existed before Christ because they were Christan wars.

Well, the first crusade lasted from 1095-1099, though it spreads out into the 1200's. I just goofed with BC I suppose. Fixed. Hopefully.

Lol- This is not uncommon to hear. Is it bad that It doesn't bug me as much? I mean, I'd most likely end up hung or beheaded- what with wanting to rock it in the 1700's- but the most badass ladies were in history- times called for tough broads.
Also, the 80's are kick ass, that is something you cannot go wrong with.
