There wasn't really an option for this (well I guess "other") - but my grandma had like a metal scrubber thing she would wash her clothes on, and then hang them up on a line outside. I remember her doing this even in the 90's until we eventually got her a washer and dryer

OH shit I forgot !!! Dude so many chores to do lately ...
I used to do it in the sink and man it sucked ! Took forever to dry too. And then I bought a machine. I'm telling you, we might invent a lot of useless stuff everyday, but the guy who created the laundry machine deserves to be canonized or something.
So my machine is in my bathroom. So I do it there.

My washing machine is in the kitchen. Do the folding and hanging upstairs in my bedroom upstairs, which also has the airing cupboard.
