It's great to see Peach in other outfits. Proper artist skill there, where a character is taken out of context. Great idea on her hair too, converting the long length into plaits.

You're most welcome :-) I've a long way to go before experimenting with clothes and hair but I have managed to do 'hybrids' where Silvermist is wearing the clothes of Lilo, or Lilo wearing the clothes of Jasmine.

This is great. The outfit really fits Peach's personality without deviating too much from her royal responsibilities. I can easily see her doing her hair like that when going out among the people... It's still "fancy," but also quite relaxed and playful.

I also dig how Asian she looks. You rarely see Super Mario characters depicted as anything but white, which is surprising as its a Japanese game.

It worked out very well, actually. I'm curious how Mario and Luigi would look as they're more typically "salt-of-the earth white man" archetypes, but Peach and presumably Daisy would work as Japanese since they're the ones native to the fantasy-world.

Since there's a lot of Japanese folklore in the games its only fitting that the people from that world are Asian, while Mario and Luigi (being from New York of our world) are foreign-looking.

It is. It's also a popular one, like the whole "realistic Pokemon" fad there was a few years back. It's easily done, but usually not well. People forget there's a personality inherent in the original style. When you change the style you change the personality so you have to take care to balance the two.
